About ECT.

The East Coast Tiger Cheerleading squad was formed in June 2007. We currently have two teams, one a Senior Co-ed (male and female) team that is currently competing at level 3 and the other a Senior All-Girl team currently competing at level 2. Our members are between the age range of 10-21. We are an all-star squad, which means we don't cheer for a sports team, we concentrate on cheerleading competitively as a sport.

As well as competing around the UK, we do performances in our home town. We have a regular performance slot at Scarborough's Acoustic Gathering Festival, which takes place in Peasholm Park and when we are not performing we try to fundraise as much as possible so that we can afford to go to the competitions throughout the year.

We work hard by training a total of 7 hours a week, and tumblers put in extra practices during the week to perfect their tumbling skills. Practices are tiring, but fun and every week we build on the skills we already have by pushing ourselves to the highest possible level.

The East Coast Tigers are not just a sports team, we are also a family and spend alot of time together out of practice.
